Beginner:

Are you a beginner and want to learn the basics of woodturning or have you done some turning in the past but need a refresher to improve your skills? Tell me what you want to accomplish and I will design the class around your needs.

Examples of a few class topics:

• Woodturning basics; know your lathe, turning tools, safety equipment, etc.
• Introduction to Bowl Turning for beginners.
• Introduction to Spindle Turning for beginners.
• Sharpening your tools. 

Intermediate:

Have you been turning for a while but need help with some specific areas of concern?
Would you like to go from "how did they do that" to "I can do that"?

Advanced:

Would you like to move to more advanced techniques; thin wall turning, hollow forms, coloring/staining?
Want to know more about segmented turning, I can take you through the complete process from design, to construction, final turning and finishing?

Costs per individual: 

1/2 Day (4 hours) - $100.00
Full Day (8 hours) - $175.00
Students to supply their own lunch & snacks.


Students receive one on one instruction, specifically designed to their needs. Practice wood will be provided in above rates but project wood will be charged at cost. All students are responsible for their personal safety and the wearing of appropriate safety equipment/clothing is required. Always use hearing, dust, and eye and face protection when working with any woodturning/woodworking equipment.
